The owners of Dorsey Pointe community have requested that all residents please follow the trash and recycling rules outlined in the Dorsey Pointe Covenants and Restrictions. This community has had issues in the past, from trash containers being left out, that include: theft, animals, traffic, mail-delivery, dumping, and neighbor complaints. Our residents and owners take curb appeal very seriously, as it is important in maintaining value within a community. Please help us to keep our community looking clean by following the guidelines listed below:
- All trash cans need to be kept inside your garage. Trash Removal is provided by the city of Blue Ridge Manner and is included with your Blue Ridge Manner taxes. Trash is scheduled for THURSDAY MORNINGS. Trash containers shall be placed outside for pick-up no earlier than 4pm the night before pick-up and shall be retrieved and put away the day of pick-up. - Trash pickup often occurs very early on Thursday mornings. Recycling is usually picked up closer to noon on Thursdays. Actual times may vary.
- To request new trash and/or recycling containers, please contact our service provider: Republic Service, 502-638-9000. Trash and recycling pick-up is included in Blue Ridge Manor’s yearly tax assessment that is paid by unit owners.
- When a holiday falls on Mon-Thur, service will run one day behind, moving our community’s pick-up day to Friday. Holidays that can alter the Schedule: New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Just because your trash smells extra ripe does not mean that it is ok to leave it outside. Your neighbors do not want to see or smell your trash. Please respect the wishes of the residents in the community.
- Our provider, Republic Service, will pick-up one larger item (per week) at no extra cost. However, this item must fit within Republic Services size regulations, and must be scheduled separately 48 hours before our pick-up date. To schedule pick-up of a bulk item, contact Republic Service at 502-638-9000. Be sure to let them know that you are a part of Blue Ridge Manner. They will ask you questions relating to your address and item, as well as give you directions for getting it ready to be picked-up.
